Summer Teen Conservatory (ages 13-18)
The Summer Conservatory is an innovative program offering teenagers a chance to study all aspects of theatre through the mentorship of professional artists. Students will perform in a fully produced original adaptation of Alice in Wonderland, as well as help the production team bring design elements to life. 2 performances the evening of July 29!
Teen Audition Prep
Sundays 6-8:30pm | August 15, 2022 - February 19, 2023
9th-12th grade | Sarah Gay and Hannah Arguelles
A 7-month program for talented teenagers who envision a future on stage, beyond the high school level.
Is your dream to be accepted into a college theatre program? Or to be hired professionally? This course gives you training and tools so you can successfully navigate the audition process, and nail that break-through audition!
Each student receives:
- Hand selected audition materials for college and professional auditions.
- College prescreen and audition taping.
- 1 professionally edited headshot (add-on options available).
- Weekly audition preparation and skill instruction.
- Professional guidance for the college audition process.
- Individual pre-semester meeting (student and parent/guardian) to assess audition materials and set student goals.
- Bi-weekly one-on-one coaching in area of students’ choice (voice, acting, or dance).
- A showcase in December to share the work.
- Gain the confidence to fully let your artistic expression shine and be seen!
- Your instructors, Sarah and Hannah, blend their talents as professional performers, keen directors, and experienced educators to support you through the audition process from start to finish.
This course is designed to sync up with college audition and callback season to provide support just when you need it. We are proud of our students! Last year’s college acceptances included TCU, SMU, OSU, Columbia College, and Boston Conservatory.
If you’re not preparing for college auditions right now, you can take this course to be super well prepared when the moment comes for your own big audition!
Total cost is $1400. Payment plan available making 7 payments of $200.

Class is not held every single Sunday. There are 18 sessions total. See the list of class dates below.
Class dates are subject to change. If the teachers deem that necessary, registrants will be given advanced notice.

::: TEACHER BIOS :::
Sarah Gay - Sarah is an actor, director, music director and teacher with a busy voice studio. Most recently, her directing work was seen at Circle Theatre for their first post-pandemic show, The Last Wide Open, and at TexARTS in Austin for Honky Tonk Laundry. Sarah is a member of Actors Equity and has been seen on stages across Texas, including Dallas Theatre Center, ZACH, The Alley, Uptown Players, Casa Mañana and Lyric Stage. Sarah has a passion for arts education and has been teaching and directing theatre for youth for over 20 years, and is also a staff member at TCU, where she teaches Music Together for their early childhood music program. Sarah has helped countless students prepare for college auditions in both her private studio and as a teacher for Stage West’s College Prep Program.
Hannah Arguelles - Hannah is an actor, choreographer, and director who has worked all across the DFW metroplex. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Oklahoma City University with dual degrees in Theatre for Young Audiences and Music, with a minor in Directing. Her choreography has been seen across Texas with her work for school choirs of all levels from McAllen to Plano and everywhere in between. Hannah formerly served as the Education Director at Casa Manana theatre where she cultivated the love of theatre in hundreds of young artists.
